About this site
Although there are a
number of other websites focussing on various aspects of the town and
district, at the time this website was constructed there was no other
covering Saltash Civil Parish in its entirety, past and present. "Welcome
to Saltash", a non-commercial privately-owned website, is an
attempt to gather together all possible information concerning Saltash
Civil Parish.
Navigating
this site:
The logo at the top left of each page is a link back to this site's
home page. The links in the main menu at the left of each page are to
pages about Saltash, some of which have subsidiary links to further
information below the main page content. Some pages, such as the
History pages and A to Z listings, have (just below the page title)
cross-links to the next and previous pages in the sequence. Below the
main menu are links to pages with information about the site itself,
including a Site Map with direct links to every page. All external
links from this site will open in a new window.

About
the webmistress:
My name is Sylvia Joyce, and I am a long-term resident of Saltash. I
was born in Wales, but came to Saltash as a newly-wed in 1981 and have
lived in the town ever since. My children were born and raised here,
and I regard Saltash as my home town. I am a happily-married
housewife, mother of five and grandmother of two. My main hobbies and
interests are reading, country walks, and the Internet (not
necessarily in that order). My first website,
Salamanders
Young Burn Survivors, went online in 2000. I also run
Sylvia's
Snaphots, and I'm currently working on another site which I hope
to have online later this year. I'm a firm believer in opportunity for
all, and I deplore any form of discrimination, so I try to make my
websites easy to read, simple to navigate, user-friendly and
accessible.... I hope you enjoy this one!
If you have a website of your own,
please consider linking to "Welcome
to Saltash".
