LINKS to Organisations offering Help and Support for Burn Survivors

The People's Burn Foundation of Indiana, Inc. (PBF) has served more than 200 burn survivors and their loved ones and has assisted more than 500 individuals who have been displaced or victimized by fire devastation. Over time, PBF has put a more pronounced focus on prevention for youth. The majority of educational programs are initiated and run by PBF, while some are run in cooperation with other non-profit organizations worldwide.

The Shriners of North America is an international fraternity of approximately 500,000 members throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Panama. The Shrine's official philanthropy is Shriners Hospitals for Children, a network of 22 hospitals that provide expert, no-cost orthopaedic and burn care to children under 18. The Southeastern Firefighters' Burn Foundation, Inc. is based in Georgia. Their vision is to insure that all burn survivors and their families, regardless of their economic status, receive not only the best medical care possible, but also are afforded the highest level of assistance with all basic human needs, both during and after treatment, that the Foundation resources will allow.

The World Burn Foundation of Southern Africa, an organisation in Cape Town, is an entirely volunteer group working separately from their sister organisation in Johannesburg. They believe their primary responsibility is to prevent burns.
