Quinn was burned in an explosion on 7 March 1998, when he was twelve years old. He was one of our Founder Members, so his name is still here as a sign of respect, but he has now left our Friendship Group.

Bill was burned 85%, in a 1988 Big Rig accident. He has since counselled at a kids burn camp, attended the WBC, is a member of a support group, has written a self-help book for burn survivors, and hosts a weekly online survivors chat.

April says, "I am 31 years old. I was burned at the age of 2 while staying with a baby-sitter. I was told to get ready for bed so I went to the bathroom where my sister was getting out of the bathtub. I decided to get in and I am left handed so I turned on the hot water. The water was so hot it felt cold and literally boiled my skin off as my sister (then 4) stood by and watched."

David's mother says, "David is 10 years old and was burned on 12/29/2003 when he got to close to a campfire and caught his pants on fire. David suffered 3rd and 4th degree burns on 25% on his body. He was in the hospital for 6 weeks, he has had 8 operations, 4 skin grafts."

Rosalie says, "I am 22 years with a 18 month old baby. I was burnt by a pressure cooker from below my neck covering my chest and parts of my hip. I was also breastfeeding at the time of my burn."
